The prices of AMD’s upcoming Matisse refresh have surfaced. It looks like the existing Matisse parts are going to get an official price cut while the newer XT variants will launch at their original MSRPs:

These price cuts are going to be meaningless as retailers like Newegg and BestBuy have been selling the Ryzen 3000 CPUs at even lower prices for a while now. With most of Intel’s 10th Gen Comet Lake processors offering mediocre performance and the higher-end models out-of-stock at most retailers, sales of the 3rd Gen Ryzen chips are already booming. It’ll be interesting to see if the Matisse refresh has a notable impact on the market.
Out of the three, the Ryzen 7 3800XT is the most interesting product. It’s clocked 200MHz higher than the vanilla 3800X, with the IF running at 2000MHz. (johnsonstring.com) This makes it seem like AMD’s best gaming CPU for the next 6-7 months. The new processors are expected to launch on the 7th of July with an announcement slated to come very soon.
