AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Can’t Run Ratchet and Clank with Ray Tracing

AMD’s Radeon 7000 GPUs, including the RX 7900 series, can’t run the latest Sony port Ratchet and Clank with ray-tracing. The game straight-up crashes if you enable ray-tracing on a Radeon GPU. Fortunately, Team Red has acknowledged the issue and is working on a patch, but for the time being, Radeon gamers will have to stick to rasterization.

AMD’s graphics driver notes specifically mention Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. As per the change notes, crashes and driver timeouts may be observed while playing the game with ray-tracing and dynamic resolution scaling. Furthermore, AMD is working with the developers to resolve these stability issues when Ray-Tracing is enabled. The driver notes for the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition are as follows:
