AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Drops to $779: Discounted by $120 Off its $899 MSRP

AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XT has dropped to an all-time low of $799, making it the GPU to buy for 1440p gaming and 4K (if you don’t mind turning some settings down). Based on the Navi 31 die, the 7900 XT comes with 84 CUs or 5,376 shaders alongside 20GB GDDR6 memory and a 320-bit bus. It is backed by 80MB of L3 cache and has a peak memory bandwidth of 800GB/s.

The Radeon RX 7900 XT trades blows with the RTX 4070 Ti, which costs roughly the same but delivers notably worse raster performance. Of course, ray tracing and DLSS 3 still give the NVIDIA SKU an advantage in many scenarios.

At the time of writing, multiple variants of the RX 7900 XT have been discounted to $799, including the MSI Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT Gaming Trio and the ASRock Phantom Gaming. Both come with a free copy of “The Last of Us” and are on a limited-time sale.

Newegg isn’t the only retailer offering these discounts. All major stores, including Amazon, BestBuy, and BHPhotoVideo, have similar discount campaigns throughout the week.
