AMD Radeon RX 7900 Series China Release Cancelled: Mainstream Launch Delayed [Rumor]

In rather disheartening news, it has been revealed that AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 lineup won’t hit the Chinese retail market on the official day of launch. The reference card won’t be sold on the sub-continent for the time being, while the AIB cards will likely launch a couple of weeks after the anticipated dates.

According to a new report from Bobantang, AMD China’s partners will “try their best” to launch their variants of the RX 7900 XT/7900 XTX on the 13th of December. The remaining OEMs, including ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI, will start sales within 1-2 weeks following the official launch schedule.

Interestingly, the RDNA 3 reference models will hit retail shelves in Asia Pacific markets, barring China on the official launch dates, although the volume remains unknown.
