AMD issues Guidelines to Partners for Big Navi Sales to Avoid Shortages and Scalpers

In an attempt to deal with scalpers and prevent unnecessary GPU shortages, AMD has issued guidelines to its retail partners to make sure the parts reach the intended consumers.

These include standard measures such as bot detection and CAPTCHA implementation, limiting the number of purchases per customer, manual order processing, and inventory-to-cart allocation. It’ll be interesting to see if these measures actually help stave off scalpers and allow a stable supply of products. Looking at the demand though, it’s likely that this will simply delay the inevitable.
