AMD Brings FSR Upscaling Technology to Every Game via Radeon Super Resolution (RSR): Works on RX 5000 and RX 6000 GPUs

AMD has finally integrated its FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaling technology into its graphics driver, thereby allowing gamers to use it in pretty much any game. Dubbed Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), it is the first one-click upscaling technology that can be enabled from Radeon Software: Adrenaline Edition. Along with the FSR 2.0 announcement, AMD has managed to bring FSR 1.0 to virtually every game on the market.

RSR promises performance gains of as much as 3x when upscaling from 1080p to 4K, and a healthy boost of ~1.8x when scaling from 1440p to 4K. As for the image quality, it’ll be the same as FSR 1.0 which means sharp textures at higher quality presets (with a notable loss in detail), and an absolute blunder at the performance preset.

Enabling RSR is fairly straightforward. For starters, enable it in the control panel. (Ultram) Then lower the resolution in-game, and voila, you’re done.
