AMD All Set to Launch A520 Motherboards: Up to 64 GB 4600MHz RAM, Turbo M.2, WiFi AC 3168

MSI has reportedly announced its AM4 A520 motherboard lineup for AMD’s lower-end Ryzen lineup. Succeeding the A320 platform, these boards won’t extend support from PCIe 2.0 to PCIe 3.0. You won’t get any Gen 4 or overclocking support here, as it’s truly the bottom of the barrel.

There are still ample I/O options for the mainstream user with support for PCIe x16 discrete graphics cards, NVMe (PCIe Gen3) SSDs, USB 3.1 Gen2 and memory speeds as high as 4600MHz (A-XMP profile support included). These boards support both the Ryzen 3000 CPUs as well as Ryzen 4000 APUs, with support for 4th Gen Ryzen processors likely. Paired with a Ryzen 3 part, they can allow the building of a cost-effective, yet powerful PC.

MAG A520M Vector WIFI

The MSI MAG A520M VECTOR WIFI comes with a large VRM heatsink, Turbo M.2 slot featuring the Shield Frozr heatsink, as well as Wi-Fi AC 3168 and Gigabit LAN support for networking. There are also integrated DisplayPorts and HDMI ports for using the integrated APU graphics.

PRO Series with Dash LAN

The PRO series mobos are primarily aimed at low-cost workstations. Paired with the Renoir APUs, they offer users with plenty of options in the sub-$100 market. With support for Turbo M.2 (Gen3) SSDs, 4K HDMI output, COM Port and DASH LAN, they are ideal for business PCs. There are three Micro-ATX variants, namely: A520M PRO, A520M-A PRO, and A520M PRO-C DASH.
