AMD 400 and 500 Series Boards to Get Re-Sizable BAR Support for NVIDIA RTX 30 Series GPUs

AMD has rolled out the latest AGESA 1.2.0.0 BIOS firmware for its 400 and 500 series motherboards and its board partners are working to implement the same on their respective motherboard models. This particular update improves support for the newly launched Ryzen 5000 CPUs and adds support for Re-Sizable BAR (SAM) on NVIDIA graphics cards.

  • Optimized and support AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors.
  • Optimized Resizable BAR (Re-Size BAR) function with NVidia Graphics cards.
  • Improved AM4 processor compatibility

Other than that, there are also a bunch of bug fixes that aren’t included in the changelog, as well as improved voltage curve tweaking and better stability with Infinity Fabric clocks at 1900MHz.

ASUS hasn’t mentioned a specific timeline

MSI has stated that it will be releasing the new BIOS update with AGESA 1.2.0.0 firmware for the 500 series boards, plus the B450 and X470 Max series lineup in the next couple of weeks, with the rest of the B450/X470 lineup getting the same in February.
