The 3DMark scores of NVIDIA’s RTX 3070 have also leaked out after the Ashes Escalation benchmark surfaced earlier today. In these tests, the RTX 2080 Ti leads the RTX 3070 by a slight margin on account of higher overall bandwidth and effective compute performance.
The lead is especially prominent in TimeSpy where the RTX 2080 Ti scores 14,582 points while the RTX 3070 is limited to 13,945. The deltas are quite small in FireStrike Ultra and Extreme, but Port Royal once again favors the Ti over the 3070. Here, the former comes in with 8,932 points while the latter is pegged at 8,324.
The RTX 3070 is officially set to launch at the end of the month, but looking at the present supply situation, it’s probably going to be more of a paper launch than a hard launch. We’ll have to wait and see if NVIDIA can ramp up production and delivery by the time AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards arrive.
