2.2 Million Yuan Worth of MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Graphics Cards Stolen From China Factory

In a rather bizarre event, about 40 cargo units containing NVIDIA’s top-end GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards were stolen from an MSI factory in China. The total worth of these cards comes up to 2.2 million Yuan or US$336.5K.

MSI has admitted the theft and the matter has been reported to the police, with a reward of 100K Yuan set aside for anyone who provides useful information regarding the theft.

The total number of cards stolen is said to be close to 200 with each card priced at 11,999 Yuan at retail. Considering how hard it’d be to sneak out with forty boxes full of brand new hardware, it’d be fair to say that this is an inside job.
