10th Gen Intel Core i5-10400 Pictures Leak Out, Rumored to Launch in April

Taiwanese website, Uniko has shared the first pictures of an Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake-S CPU in the form of the Core i5-10400. Although we’ve already seen several engineering samples, this one looks like the final retail product. Have a look:

The Intel Core i5-10400 is a hex-core CPU with a base clock of 2.9GHz and a single-core boost of 4.3GHz, 200MHz higher than its predecessor. It’s also getting additional L3 cache to support hyperthreading. These are the main three changes that distinguish the Comet Lake parts from the existing Coffee Lake lineup.

Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake-S Launch Date

According to the info shared on the website, instead of a single day embargo, there’s a rather wide window given by Intel that stretches from 13th April to 26th June 2020. This is a rather unique kind of NDA. We’re guessing the embargo varies from region to region, or perhaps according to the outlet tier? Regardless, the 10th Gen Intel desktop processors should launch sometime in April. We should be getting more details soon.
